9-11 Conspiracy Theory - Made Me Think
I just saw a movie about a conspiracy surrounding the 9-11 tragedy.
Here's the link to the movie:911 Loose Change Second Edition
Although I'm not completely convinced, it made me think. Before the country became a dictatorship, it was a democratic state. It was when the current president decided that he did not want to relinquish his position of power that it changed. He started a war against the Muslims in the southern part of the country. The reason for the war is terrorism. The president and the people around him exploded bombs and blamed it on the Muslims. The president then declared “Martial Law”. The country was under martial law for more than a decade and the rest is history. This movie just made me think of the similarities.
My family migrated here to the US because this is the land of opportunity and free speech. Coming from a country that used to be under a dictator, it's not hard for me to believe that a government and a large group of people can conspire to do such a thing. I remember, during my grade and high school (mid '70s to early '80s) Social Studies courses, we were being taught (brainwashed) that our country was a democracy, but then when you open almanacs that were published outside of the country, they all say that the country was a dictatorship. We were not allowed to question this discrepancy. Just think of how much power a government has to be able to get schools, teachers and the media to spread such propaganda. It's not until I got to college that my eyes opened.

Franchise Project Update
While reading the Frisco Online forum, I found out that the Small Business Development Center(SBDC) of our county provides free services to people trying to open a small business. Two weeks ago, I attented a free workshop offered by the SBDC called "Legal Aspects of Starting a Small Business". The workshop reinforced the thoery that I need to have a team of experts and advisors who will be able to help me in my quest to be "the man".
I also started working with a SCORE advisor, also free thru the SBDC, in evaluating the different franchisors offering a Packaging and Shipping franchises. So now I'm collecting UFOC's from the different franchisors.
The SCORE advisor also told me that another option that I have is to buy an existing, establised packing and shipping business. An advantage of buying an existing business is that the business already has an establised customer base.
My next step, while evaluating the different UFOC's, is to assemble my team of experts. I would, for the moment, need to find a corporate lawyer, CPA, and a commercial real estate agent. I will also try to contact our towns Chamber of Commerce. I heard that they might also be able to help me with my project.

Rainy Days in Frisco
It's another lazy, rainy afternoon here in Frisco.
The rain has been falling on and off since last Friday night.
It's a good thing we got some DVD's from NetFlix to watch.
Here's how I rate the movies:
- Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire - 2 thumbs up.
- History of Violence - 2 Thumbs up.
Who do we cheer for?
Here are some pictures of Hawk, Mommie and Chelsea.

Ramblings...
It's about the end of the 2nd week of my planned 3 month vacation. It's been relaxing but I noticed that I have been waking up really early. Sometimes as early as 5:30 AM CST. I wonder why? Could it be that I already miss the corporate life? Maybe not.
I did some research yesterday about the Goin'Postal franchise. I went to one of their stores and interviewed, who I'm guessing is, the owner. He seems to be satisfied with the support he is getting with the franchisor. He also stated that business is doing well. ...got to do a lot more research...
When I got bored from just laying around and watching TV, I did some unpacking. I also am organizing the garage. I've already installed the 2 kayak storage hangers, one bike lift and some utility shelving. I still have to figure out how to store the rest of my stuff in the garage.
Meanwhile, inside the house, I have installed 7 ceiling fans. I'm hoping this will help save on our utility bills this summer.
To the right is a picture of one I installed in the family room.

Here is a closer look at the fan.
I also installed on of this in the Game room and the Master bedroom

This fan is in Hawk's room.
The fan blades has a nautical theme.

I installed one of this in Wowie's ( this is what Hawk calls Angie's mom) bedroom, the office and media room.
That's it for now. Got to go back to my vacation. More pictures to come. Hopefully next time there will be people in them.
